Our Amazing Body (part 2)
Respiratory System
Our respiratory system helps us to breathe.
It takes air into our body and removes it from our body, too.
Circulatory System
Our circulatory system is made up of parts that help to move materials around our body.
- It carries substances to all parts of our body.
- It carries waste materials away from all parts of our body.
Nervous System
Our nervous system is the control centre of our body.
- It carries messages to and from different parts of our body.
- It controls activities inside and outside our body.
Our brain is part of this system. When we do an activity, our brain sends messages to tell different parts of our body what to do.
Urinary System
Our body needs water to keep us alive. However, our body also needs to remove the extra water that it does not need.
- Our urinary system removes the extra water from our body.
- It removes waste materials from our body.
Organ systems Work together
Each organ systen in our body is important in its own way.
We need all of them to work together for our body to function properly.
Let us take a look at how Joe's organ systems work together.
If one part of an organ system does not work properly, the rest of the system will not be able to work properly, either.
